Substance abuse is our community’s most serious public health problem. Since its founding in 1971 as the Drug Education Center, SAPS has been committed to eliminating substance abuse and addiction by utilizing best practice prevention strategies. SAPS is a 501©(3) non profit agency whose mission is "to prevent addiction and promote health." Our vision is "an addiction free community that embraces healthy living." Substance abuse is preventable and so is all of the tragedy and cost associated with it.
